Program your key fob for a Chevy Impala

In this quick video I demonstrate how to program a key fob for my 2006 Chevy Impala. It takes just a few seconds to program a Chevy Key Fob. This specific key fob was purchased on EBay for $23. Everything worked when I activated it, even remote start. This key fob is dying on me after 18 months, but still works. It's a quick way to activate your new remote start.

Very nice video. If you follow the instructions, in this video, then you will program a key fob. However, if you have other key fobs they will not work after you do this. While in the program mode, program all the key fobs before exiting the program mode then they will all work.

Do not want to detract from this short concise well done video. Just wanted to add this detail.

Many have asked why the remote start will not work on their car even if they have it on the key fob. The remote start is an option. All key fobs come with the remote start button. However, if the remote start was not purchased with the car, or installed as an aftermarket item then it will not work. Hope this helped.

You SHOULD press check mark until it says (Remote Key Learning Active) and then you can attatch any key fob you want. You just reset the tire monitor sensor.
