Just had my 3rd flight in the 60 course today.

Although not nearly as bad as the beginning of CC, sometimes it feels like you’re starting all the way back from square one. Can be very discouraging sometimes. But just need to keep pushing and doing the right thing.

Great video and explanation for new pilots that are just starting to learn or are heading to Ft. Novosel/Rucker. As we discussed before, I did two IP/SP tours at Rucker (85/89 & 91/94) I graduated from flight school in 1983. Not many Army pilots got to teach primary as it was/is all contractor taught, but I was selected (1992) to be a contract evaluation SP. To be signed off as a CEP Standarization Instructor Pilot, I had to teach one entire class of primary. This was the first time that I ever got to train students from day one! Coming from being a NVG IP to a daytime primary SP was all new to me; despite having over 2500 hours of IP time and 3200 total time, I was out of my comfort zone on the first few days! (yes students, even SP's have bad/nervous days!) My two students did well, and I served at the CEP job until 1994 until the Army decided that I needed to return to maintenance test pilot duties. (they sent me to a unit in Korea on a two-year tour and the unit was shutting down!) It took me almost two years to turn in those Hueys and I was then sent to another Huey unit which shut down 1+ years later. No chance of returning to Rucker while in the Army, so I retired in Korea with 4200+ hours in 15 years of flying! (CW4) I had a good career with the Marines and Army! (I did another 22+ years as a defense contractor, so 44+ years working for the military) My best wishes to all in Army Aviation! Great channel Deven!
