I'm assuming the main engines have been powered off to conserve power rather than being in-operable... Also the Chimera had some impressive looking damage, although the two shield generators look fine so it's possibly mostly cosmetic damage.

All of this without the possibility of raiding other local parties, or trading trinket and map data, perhaps technology blueprints for materials he needed. There are many methods of how he could have kept things in order, rationing the Chimeras fuel and parking it in the lagrange point is the most likely one?

An unusual perspective, the docking scene is a metaphor of procreation but instead of one that gives life, this is giving the undead. (If those we saw are coffins that they are supplying the Chimera) While procreation makes the mother becoming a bearer of life, the Chimera, in this context, becomes the bearer of death

I really hope they have something up their sleeves with Thrawn that does not include the Night sisters. Everyone fears his return not even knowing about the Night sisters. The dude should be a force to fear in his own right, but so far its one smashed up Star destroyer. No matter how brilliant of a strategist he is, that's not a threat, so I really hope they have something good planned for him, thats not really just the night sisters.

Or, its a massive flying fortress that's designed for long term deployment. I know, keeping a crew of thousands alive for that long would be difficult, and I'm sure they've had losses, but I doubt Thrawn needed the Great Mothers to use the Force to keep his ship going.
