He was awesome in the Zahn books. While it was great to see him in Rebels, I don't think the show did him justice. They only touched on what he was capable of, but I felt that he was too easily defeated. I hope that they make him a real threat with real stakes and losses to back them up.

In the books, he felt that the Emperor and Vader made a lot of mistakes that led to the downfall of the Empire. He believed that their brutal tactics would inevitably lead to their downfall. Thrawn wasn't prone to tantrums like Vader who would force choke anyone who failed him, but instead Thrawn would allow subordinates to learn and grow. He was a teacher as much as a tactician. This caused those who served under him to be truly loyal, not out of fear but out of respect. He made people want to serve him, not feel like they have to serve him.

It doesn't mean that he wasn't ruthless when it called for it, but only when he felt it was absolutely necessary. He didn't seem to feel glee or happiness at the suffering of others, but simply as a means to achieve his goals.

Unlike other villains in Star Wars, he isn't evil, which is why I love his character. He's simply a very talented commander

Another thing that makes Thrawn so dangerous is the fact that he’s not arrogant and will give credit where it’s due and is not opposed to listening to others ideas. So he doesn’t have the same flaw that other imperial commanders had and that’s another thing that makes him so dangerous besides his brilliant tactical abilities. But another thing, it was an incredibly smart decision by LucasFilm and Disney to have Timothy Zahn return to give advice on the cannon version of Thrawn. And it’s definitely a good idea to adapt some aspects of the Heir to the Empire storyline as it was one of the most important and popular Star Wars Storylines.

Grand Admiral Thrawn is an highly underrated villain who always has a way to outsmart his opponents with hardly any difficulty. Which is why I can’t wait to see him in Live Action.

I didn't expect Thrawn to be so dangerous even after the fall of the Empire. He should've been the leader of the First Order.

One thing to note that in cannon his exile was a cover to infiltrate the Empire and try to either form an alliance for the Chiss or send them resources. He has previously sent several Imperial officers to join the Chiss

Thrawn always fascinated me. The way he would meticulously study his opponent (s) and figure out the best outcome to a battle. Also how he was able to find a true weakness for force wielders to make them "normal" and easier to capture or defeat. He was and still is a genius in the Star Wars universe, while others are just weak and people minded individuals.

While i doubt they will do it. I would love to see him become a anti hero character and eventually return to the Chiss.

My main hope is that Thrawn will not be killed. Thrawn is a great antagonist, but a poor villain. I can imagine him wanting to restore the Empire to secure additional material and manpower for his efforts supporting his people, but with Palpatine out of the way, he isn’t the kind of leader to causually resort to atrocities to secure his objectives. Since we know that Thrawn is ultimately unsuccessful in restoring the Empire, I would like to see something along the lines of him deciding that trying to reunify the fractured New Republic by force is more trouble than it’s worth and withdrawing his forces plus whatever he and his forces can seize back to the Unknown Regions.

Thrawn is not evil, he is an antagonist yes but he is not evil. He had a goal and a reason he does what he does. He is my favorite Star Wars character in both Legends and Cannon

I have been waiting for Thrawn forever. If he was at Endor instead of Vader the rebels would have had no chance. He was the greatest military mind in the Empire.

Would be interesting to see if Thrawn and Ezra are working together as I consider Thrawn more as an antagonist rather than an outright villian. It makes sense since in the Unknown Regions (The Chaos), the Chiss use "Skywalkers" (later determined to be force sensitive Chiss) to navigate Hyperspace. Thrawn having an actual Jedi (even a Padawan like Ezra) to help him navigate the Unknown Regions they were thrown into. Especially if Ezra were to learn of Thrawns true motivations and how serious a threat the Grysk are.

Thrawn is the man with all the plans! When you think you out smarted him you realize he knew what you was going to do before you did. Genius, a total genius!

A key point to be considered is Ezra Bridger’s role. Either a stone in Thrawn’s boot & or as the side kick to Ashoka in this next exciting telling battle of good vs evil. I can’t wait😊

Thrawn is my absolute favorite character in all of Star Wars. While the galaxy is playing checkers Thrawn is playing chess. Thrawn is not an evil character but a man on a mission to the galaxy by any means necessary.

When I first read those books all those long years ago, I actually imagined Raul Julia as Thrawn. Seemed to fit. What I find interesting about Thrawn, is that he's not actually evil. He believes in his cause, and believes it's right. He's like so many idiots these days.

If Thrawn has even half if the 7th fleet back he is easily the most powerful "warlord" out there. This huge fleet and his brain against Gideon and Mando would be too much.

I always thought as Thrawn as the star wars version of Heydrich and Rommel..intelligent, ruthless and absolutely devoted to the cause beyond any consideration of "morals" or restraint...A absolutely horrific character when you think about it... He brings far more threat and evil than Palpatine or Vader could bring.
