Great information! I am currently living with family and using the kitchen table for my sewing, so I have to make sure everything is right where I need it at all times, because of little ones running around. This would be great for that purpose. Unfortunately, the mat hangs down at the perfect grabbing height for little hands. I’m saving this video for when I get my own place! Thank you for sharing!

Tip on the spray adhesive… it is dependant on size…lay your fabric flat inside a paper bag. Spray inside the bag, it prevents overspray

Jan, love the station mat. This is one way I am going to use it. My 98 year old mom lives with us. We have one of those hospital bed tables we use every day. As the table gets used to hold items stuff falls off. I am going to make your station mat to use on the table. I plan to attach Velcro to the underside of one side of the table and place Velcro to the underside of the station mat so I can attach the mat to the table. This way the pocket side of the mat is facing her. The pockets can hold a phone, remote control, personal items etc. the mat can also be used as a place mat at meal times. It’s so easy and fun to make i can make several so we can laundry and always have one for her table. I can also make seasonal mats to make her table more fun. Just another way to use your station mat. Thank you for the tutorial and sharing your pattern.

Great choice in fabrics & COLORS!!!
I appreciate the free patterns for our private use plus the addition of a label !!
My only suggestion comes from my experience. I sewed, on the corners on the back piece, a cute to finished size, a piece of the no-skid/no slide rug backing. This helped my machine, especially my serger, from hopping along.

Great job showing us the details with very understandable instructions. I also appreciated the choices given for another way to accomplish a task. Fantastic video, extra cudoes to the surviving camera person...thry never die...and you work with nearly lethal weapons, ya know !!! 🎉🎉🎉

Great tutorial. Thank you. I’m frugal with my pretty fabrics. I think I would use a plain muslin on the backs of mat and pocket. 🪡

I love this video. You make look like so much fun to make and so easy too. I like how you describe each step including details that people assume beginners know like the red line on your presser foot for the 1/8 inch guide. Thank you !

Your fabric combination is absolutely adorable. From tapestry scraps I made a quick cover for my sewing machine and a sewing Mat with pockets in it like you did many years ago. I also made one for under my surgery that had a pocket that would catch the scraps of fabric from surging.

So Glad to see this! Your videos are the best and I’ve been wanting to make a few of these? I also want to make one for all my acrylic rulers! Thanks!

The fabric clips should go flat side (clear) down. They glide easier that way.
