How to Frame a Canvas Panel - EASY Tutorial

Learn how to frame a canvas panel. You can use frames that you get from the store, no custom frame is necessary! This is a very easy tutorial for framing a canvas panel or framing a canvas board that anyone can do, even beginner artists or those wanting to a DIY canvas panel frame.

I would save the glass and run tape along the edges in case of sharp edges. Afterwards, I would use them as palettes for oil paints.😊

Excellent thank you Krystle. I was experimenting with various mediums on a cheap canvas board. The piece turned out beyond my expectations but seriously warped due to mixing PVA glue, Water and Acryllic pouring gel as different mediums to get intricate mixing. This worked really well. Thank you.

Thanks Krystle. Is it possible to attach D rings to these frames without splitting them? Most galleries will not accept framed art without D rings & wire attached I think?

Thanks for this! Have you ever happened to frame any older canvas panels? I've inherited a few oil paintings my grandfather did years ago (easily 50+ years old) and want to frame them. There's minimal to no warping but I'm a little worried about whether very old paint still has flex to it if I need to push at all.
