If the Trick Flow flops then you will know why they didn't send you one.

The intake with the #1 seeming larger in the plenum, I can see making it larger if another port Is robbing it, maybe this s reason, but I don't see it being #1 getting robbed, seems 4 large ports that each split into two, to get things into plenum and on to the ports, resting wit a spinning engine use smoke and high speed cameras to see the plenum being shared by the ports can tell alot, basic run a spin Tron, with a flow bench pulling at all the cylinders, spinning the cam to simulate the running engine, it may not be 100% accurate especially at overlap, with scavenge, but should show everything else well, the port flow and robbers especially, a large furnace blower, mounted to a oil pan, use a old block, with heads and intake use a plate with 4holes, using smoke to show flow paths, it has me wanting to build one my self, use a drill to spin the cam over! Simulating a running engine, (not excessively, there is no oil supply!) It would only require about 10 seconds at 500 rpm or so maybe 1k rpm for 3-4 seconds, so a well lubed cam should handle it fine, a oil pump and larger motor driving it can be used for testing, the cam needs to spin 8k rpm +/- to really see what happens at speed

Have you ever ported SBC heads to a 1209 intake gasket?

L de Brock . I wonder if Vic is used to it by now?

Hey man, curious did you ever end up porting and flowing the holley efi single plane? sI know you said you didn't like it, really curious how it turned out?

I don't know about trick flow in general. I was interested in their dhc 175 heads then found out that they designed and produced a 200cc version, unveiling at sema. I spoke with a rep and he said at the beginning of the following year that it should be in full production. It wasn't. It's been 3 years. They sure do disappoint....

will be interesting to see the distribution BTW Single 4bbl tunnel rams are a PITA

Trick Flow will definitely be down on torque and hp

Am I wrong in thinking this? Shouldn't you design these manifolds such that each cylinder fills to the same amount? And with that I'd expect that the cross sectional area would be similar between each cylinder???

Eric! Do you have any input on cutting down the divider on a intake with a full height one? I bought a performer RPM for my small block mopar and the divider is all the way to the top.. i keep reading that it helps top end..then bottom end.. and then that it does nothing at all... This is just a street car that wont see over 6500rpm..

Can you show what happens on the flow bench what happens with flow between an intake port that is smaller than the head opening, vs a port matched intake port, vs an intake port that is larger than the head port? Would be interesting to see the cfm gain or loss if you could replicate this on a flow bench somehow?

It is going to be a huge undertaking changing out all of these manifolds having to deal with water and the distributor, to bad you're not into big block Chrysler - it would be a lot easier on you lol

My thoughts are, yes, the average power will be down with the "less even" shaped runners but, the afr will also suffer from cylinder to cylinder, no?
Will you be running 8 widebands or at least 8 egts to watch?

Great video, I agree the 2892 should win.

I'm willing to bet trick flow and Eldelbrock match each other or trick flow wins haha 💪💪

Is that holley the same as holley efi intake?

What was the engineering team thinking on that Trick Flow? It doesn't make sense to have such a huge difference in CSA for any application.

Very odd choices.
