Why linear phase though? Don't you worry about pre-ringing and all the nasty side effects of using linear phase (like messed up transients)? I used to use it thinking it would just automatically be better since it "fixes" phase issues of normal EQ, but the minimal phase shift introduced with normal EQ curves is preferable in 95% of use cases, imo.
