It will then be a matter of going to court and the defense team attacking the sensors on said snitch vehicle whether that they have been calibrated and verified true. Just in the same way you would fight a speeding ticket and calibration records for the radar/laser device. Its not going to hold and be an epic waste of tax dollars

Honestly I think BBS's claims are BS.
Where I live most of the aftermarket wheels I see are either JapanRacing or BBS, there is no way they're not making money, maybe the bosses are not making as much money as they want, but definitely enough to keep the production running.

There is a Nanny law going into effect where new vehicles will at minimum, "squeal like red headed stepchild." If you exceed the given speed limit for a perdetemined period of time. My 2021 Lexus does this by turning down the music and beeping twice.
