I want to salute Chief Joseph Pfeifer who is the first deputy Fire Commissioner at this scene. He lost his brother another fellow FDNY in the World Trade Center on 9/11 and survived the collapse of the South Tower. I know this is supposed to be to be about the families here but knowing he is still with the FDNY brings tears to my eyes. I saw him giving a small press briefing and couldn’t believe it. He is such a hero for continuing to help save lives still til this day. Thank you for your service sir. I will always remember you 🫡 🇺🇸
