Ahsoka Is Alive! How She Survived – Star Wars Explained

During the majority of the Star Wars rebels season 4 panel at Star Wars celebration series producer Dave Filoni wore a shirt that asked if Ahsoka was still alive with Ahsoka lives question mark printed on the shirt.

As the trailer for Star Wars Rebels season 4 played when Dave Filoni returned he was sporting a different shirt this time one that made the statement Ahsoka lives rather than a question.

In this video we break it down and explain comments made by Dave Filoni that explore how Ahsoka was able to survive her duel with Darth Vader in the season 2 finale of Star Wars Rebels “Twilight of the Apprentice.”

It'd be an interesting take if that were the case. Can you imagine if Vader finds out that the daughter saves Ashoka. But then Vader's hatred gets even stronger cause The Daughter didn't preserve Padme from her ultimate death Vader would be reeling inside !

Awesome video; brief yet awesome! :) I LOVE your theory that the bird was the Daughter and that she intervened to save Ahsoka's life during her duel with Vader. I also liked the information you included from the crew about whether or not Ahsoka is alive, namely those Ahsoka Lives shirts and the confirmation that 'Rebels' in the Ghost crew's story and not Ahsoka's. The latter makes me feel like it's more likely we'll get a spinoff following Ahsoka after the events of 'Twilight of the Apprentice' rather than a Series 4 reappearance. :)

Now we know that Ezra saves Ahsoka through the 'World Between Worlds, ' and that she survives past the Battle of Endor and joins Sabine on a journey to keep her promise that she would find Ezra when she got back.

What if Luke understands what Ahsoka did: that Sith vs Jedi is played out and they must walk in the middle? Maybe Luke found Ahsoka after Return of the Jedi and sought to teach the middle path but the dark side was too strong. Or learned of Ahsoka and learned from her during the time after Kylo destroyed his temple. That's a good way to intro her in the films. Have Luke tell a story, similar to Palpatine to Anakin, to Rey about Ahsoka. Could be really cool!

Pretty sure Vader is in some way fused with the Son at this point, and Ahsoka with the Daughter - and they aren't actually capable of killing one another because of this.

I want her to be alive so bad. She has evolved into one of my favorite Star Wars characters. I think partially because we have seen her grow up from little snips to her current sage self. A great strong female character.

i think vader let her escape. the look in vaders eyes when he called out to her almost felt like he was saying "run i dont want to kill you" when she said i wont leave you and it was her fault for his pain i think that set something off in him because usually everyone he faced blamed him but she blamed herself and not him. also they shared a distaste for the republic. i think vader bested her quite easily but did not deliver the killing blow, rather he let her live but told her to never get involved with the jedi or sith ever again. i dont think this in turn made him weaker, but it was the last final gesture if kindness that he would give to someone whom he shared a bond with that was seconded only to padme.

well she does have the life force of the daughters of mortis i suppose that couls help cause the clone wars showed they could only be killed by a dagger but since the father ia dead i dont know

Something I'd like to see and I'm sure many fans are also hoping for is that Dave Filoni is going to direct an Ahsoka Tano Anthology film. Either that or she'll appear in the next Star Wars Animated Series.
