In this video tutorial I show you how to make a handy little drawstring pouch out of stretchy fabric. This is a quick and easy make that won't take you more than 5 minutes to make!

Use up old t-shirts, fabric scraps from your garment sewing projects or get your hands on a few pieces of stretch knit just so you can play around with it while making this pouch.

Fill the pouch up with little goodies and treasures and it's sure to be the perfect stocking stuffer!

I just finished 2 hours at the sewing machine trying to make these bags with Christmas flannel instead of wrapping the gifts. I thought, well how hard can it be? I'm sure glad I have a seam ripper. I tend to do everything backwards first. I even sewed the top of the bag shut! This is a great video. Shows how easy it can be when you know what you're doing. You explained everything very well. Thanks

I made 20 of these for Christmas and put a gift inside. I have been sewing for 50 years but this shows that you are never to old to learn. I have even sewed for an interior designer but I never knew how to make a drawstring that worked.LOL! I love your videos. Thanks.

I love all your videos. I have been looking for a small pouch to make. I think this one is perfect for my idea. I have my moms wedding dress that is around 75 years old. My mom has passed and I keep looking at the dress and don't want it to just turn to dust. So I came up with an idea. I'm going to make small draw string bags out of the dress which is a hand made lace dress. I will be making them for all my mom's daughters, grand daughters and great grand daughters. Then I am going to put a small sachet inside the lace bag. So they can put it in whatever draw they want to smell nice. I have been looking for a while to find the best one and I have. Thank you for all your crafty ideas. I really enjoy them.

Thank you. I used this project yesterday using Christmas fabric to wrap an odd shaped gift. Came out great and now the bag is a present, too. Love your videos.

When I first got my sewing machine a few years ago your easy cushion cover was the first thing I made and I still use the same pattern. You explain things so well. Thank you xx

hi, just made a few. THANK YOU for such an easy tutorial.. Enjoyed making them, and will continue to do so in different sizes, as they will be going to various charity and care institutions! I have loads of pieces of material waiting for "THAT" day.. Explained AND showed it well step by step. Thank you!👍 I have the sewing machine one side and my laptop the other, going step by step with you. Thank you again! Debi Thomas: South Africa!👍👩💌

This is perfect and perfect timing. Meeting a friend in 3 hours to exchange gifts and part of her present is some Belgian licorice. Thought I was going to have to trail round the stores looking for a perfectly sized decorative jar or tin. Got some Santa material left over so time to get sewing! Many thanks. Love the videos. Happy Holidays!

Another great idea! I never thought of doing this with stretch fabric - no fray, easy cords - hmmm....may try with some fleece scraps to hold the gift cards to match the Christmas PJs I made for the grand kids! Thank you

I used a stretch velvet that I monogrammed with the recipient's initial(s). Thank you for a wonderful idea Vanessa!
