Making a simple DIY Drawstring Bag | Sewing Tutorial

Sewing a simple drawstring bag from unbleached calico. This is a tutorial on how to make a drawstring bag with two cords. You'll need:

Fabric
Some kind of ribbon or fabric tape or cord
Thread
A ruler or measuring tape
An iron
Pins
Tailor's chalk or fabric marker
A sewing machine (though this would not be a difficult project to sew by hand if you don't have access to one!)
A safety pin

In the U.S. we call calico "muslin." There are different weights. We use the term "calico" for small floral print cotton quilting fabric. And your muslin is called "gauze" here!
