This is a very different look for Volkswagen. The VW Cross Coupe GTE, which made its debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is a hybrid crossover with some forward-thinking innovations inside.

Volkswagen needs to learn that the reason Americans buy a VW is to get into German quality and engineering at a more reasonable price than Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.  Designing cars specifically for America with lesser quality materials doesn't accomplish that goal and I think that's why VW isn't reaching the sales figures they want.

WHY??? Why do these car makers do this to us!! They tease us with these beautiful, original, fresh design cars that they have no intentions of ever building. The Cross Coupe GTE is gorgeous, it just looks like the future. These car companies do this all the time! They wave these beautiful concept cars in front of our faces that they will never make, meanwhile actually selling us bland hideous plasticy egg shaped cars.
