Alexandra, I'm sympathetic to your movement, but would advise that you not single out "progressive women of color". They are simply "progressive women", or even better, just "progressives". Period. People are smart enough to figure out the rest for themselves.

If JD's are to be taken seriously, the identity politics nonsense must be omitted. Roe Kana is not referred to as a progressive man of color either. He's also just a progressive. Only by referring to all JD's only by their ideological title (which emphasizes what they stand for), rather than gender or skin color, will anybody believe that these people are truly equals. Emphasizing identity achieves the opposite and ends up underselling these people's (like AOC) universal appeal.

As an Independent, this show is refreshing to hear news without the spin, without the negative attacks. Rojas was a really good guest...very positive, forward-looking message.

I just want to say that Saagar's my favourite Republican ever. He has his values, yet can respect what Democratic organisations like Justice Dems are trying to do. We definitely need more of that with *everyone* - everyone should be more focused on their actual values than partisan hackery and be capable of accepting that the opposite 'tribe' can share your values and focus on the things that are the same, rather than on what's different.


I know he doesn't agree with everything the Justice Dems do, but the things he does, he acknowledges the similarities and has an actual conversation around it all rather than going bananas and ranting. And it's so refreshing nowadays.
