With Kyle gone, there's no moderating force to prevent JD from devolving into an outrage cult that lets this kind of thing eclipse the policies it was founded on. Depressing.

18 years ago? So If I ever run for office as a JD will they uncover my bigotry and hatred I had when I was 19? Will they go full on 1984 and expect my past to be perfect? Will my past comments I did on Social Media come back and haunt me. I'm a changed person I dont hold my religious extremist views, my racist views of old. I always looked to Cenk as an insperation that people who are conservative can change I changed why hold someone accountable when they were young? If you try using this logic for Hilary that's total BS she still acted racist towards BLM protestors and Hispanics on the WikiLeaks

This just opened my eyes too how bad the sjw part of the left can be. We hold ourselves back by trying to hold an impossible high moral standing. We are human and we should be able to grow and change.

So basically everyone has to be perfect from birth from to grave. People can't change and grow in their lifetime.

So in 1999, Cenk said some juvenile things? Who gives a fuck.

The Left needs to seriously deal with it's obsession over what people say rather than what they do.

This is a political hit job. This is Cenk From 18 years ago. He has continuously explained throughout the years that he was an ignorant different guy and has had an awaking since then. He has apologized for these comments, and giving what he stands for and fights for, and the fact that these were COMMENTS not sexual misconduct, I think he deserves a pass. This was aimed at the Justice democrats.

While I think it was wise of Cenk to resign, so as not to draw negative attention to JD, I hate the way JD handled this whole situation. I was much more disturbed and disgusted by their statement on twitter, than by Cenk's words 18 years ago. So I very much understand Kyle. He felt that if he stayed he would have gone against his conscienсe and for people like Kyle it's very important to be in peace with it.

So you need to be perfect to be a justice Democrat now? If a few blog posts from almost 20 years ago are all it takes then no one will qualify

Yeah, this is really really bad. JD was supposed to be different from the establishment, and yet here they are taking PC identity politics to a ridiculous extreme and ruining the chances of their candidates in the process. Very poor effort on the part of JD and as many have said here, I may support their candidates (based entirely on the issues of course) but I will have no love for their organization in the future.

As a woman I think this is beyond ridiculous...he apologized...can we move on? I guess not

I want to thank the Justice Democrats staff for their service. I would like to add that their lack of a meaningful path to redeem oneself scares the living hell out of me. I have every reason to support Justice Democrat nominees, but would never want to live in a world run by such an intolerant and unforgiving lot. Or were they all not remotely familiar with Cenk?

I'm disappointed on how justice Democrats reacted to Cenk comments.

Sounds like a single man in Miami wanting to get laid. I'm sorry but I'm older and the mother of man. If we continue to condemn every mans past COMMENTS (NOT ACTIONS) we are building a wall between men and women that can effect open communication about our bodies, minds and emotions.

Why not hire staffers who WANT to do a good job? If extremist feminists want to run things, why don't they start their own party?! THIS is why most people get turned off and leave the Democratic party.

And thus is the beginning of the end of Justice Democrats. You played right into the hands of the enemy. SMH!

Glad you are making an immediate statement on this Kyle. You really do a good job.

Amazing how JD disregards the principle of reformation, a fundamentally progressive principle. It's not even like he was in the process of reforming. He has already reformed.

My respect for Kyle has gained incredibly. I wasn't sure if you would have the principles to do this, but I was wrong.

I lost all respect for SJWDems when they made that move, and I don't particular like Cenk. They completely undermined the entire movement with sensational gender politics. I'm really glad Kyle resigned, and I agree with supporting the candidates still. But I disagree with the decisions for Cenk and Kyle to resign; replacing the staff would have kept the integrity of the organization. You can't get that back now, so the organization is done now; it's a joke, and never going to be taken seriously again.
