Показать описание
The S35 mode of a7R II compared to the Full frame mode of the a7S. Framing is adjusted for a close match.

One of several tests of the low light performance of the new Sony a7R II. These are all shot in 4K mode and in this test both cameras were recording via HDMI to an 4K external recorder.

The lens was a Sigma 24-35mm f2 with Metabones Smart Adapter IV

Perfect! A scientific comparison, exactly what I was looking for. Your videos are the best.

Question: Is it possible to reduce the shutter speed to 1/30 or 1/25? Is there a reason 1/50 was used? Thank you.

Good test! And I like to see some P.G. Wodehouse there on the bookshelf.

For some apparent reason my a7r II IS NOT SHOWING the 4k option in the menu! It's not even there and greyed out, it's simply NOT THERE! I have tried EVERYTHING, can you help me out?

huh. Based on all the hype I was expecting less noise at 3200. Still pretty good though.

Was the white balance set differently on both cameras?
