I've been self-employed for almost 7 years and have been doing very well. For the longest while it felt like I was doing something wrong since I wasn't doing what everyone else was doing. It took me a while to realize that many people "wish" to work for themselves, but don't have the courage or financial circumstances to do so. I guess that's why many people talk up the corporate career ladder so they feel good about dealing with such corporate b.s..

My friends in Africa told me that we ' Americans " have been taught how to be" Codependent" on an Employer..In Africa where they live, " Self Employment " is their only option...Yet, they are living well and doing great financially...I am trying to adapt that self employed mindset. I was raised to go get a job instead of being a self employed go getter legally...🤔

Wanna let y’all know, there’s a scammer pretending to be Ken in the comments. Don’t ever send money to people that you don’t know.

People should probably also consider whether they really want to be self-employed. In a regular job, you work for a boss. When you're self-employed, all your customers are your bosses. Plus, you now have to worry about insurance, revenue, costs, etc. Not saying it's bad, just saying that it's not for everyone, certainly not 70% of the population.

A reasonable budget for a family of 4 to eat out is $50 for 1 meal. If not then it's best to eat at home.
