Honestly many GM alternators will produce around 300mV peak-peak loaded . I personally don’t worry about anything less the 600mV pk-pk and most the time I’ve found it to be a bad battery or a corroded/ lose connection at the battery. I mainly look for big gaps indicating a diode is open . Seeing a bunch of uniformed humps is normal and as long as they more then 600mV I don’t see it being an issue. Truthfully if the ripple can be seen riding on top of the DC voltage output with the scope DC couples and you can clearly see the ripple is the only time I worry about it. If you need to AC couple and zoom in to a smaller scale to see it it’s not even worth chasing.

Make sure to enable Low Pass Filters and AC Coupling for that type of test at channel 1.
