I think the poles are labeled incorrectly, as typically a N pole should have magnetic flux lines going outward and inward for the S pole (the flux line arrows appear correct based upon the DC flow through the rotor coils). And the current should be maximum when a rotor pole is directly across from a stator winding, not when the winding is in between the poles. Then use "Flemings right-hand rule for generators" to get the direction of the current. As best I can tell the current directional arrows might also be backwards, but it's hard to tell with the current shown as zero at the incorrect time. Otherwise it's a pretty nice animation.
