Have you tried Vintage Grooming mustache wax remover? They just come out with it, it works great.

Personally, I always wash mine with shampoo while washing my hair in the shower. I ALWAYS put conditioner on my mustache, again, when I put it on my hair. I normally put vitamin E oil on my mustache after a shower and I've styled and blow dried it (it's curly so I have to use a small round brush to blow it out) which is always before I go to bed. It soaks in well enough while I sleep that I have no problems with glue stick or wax sticking to the hairs.

After washing, can you use a conditioner before applying a wax? Or will that affect wax?

Butter. Touch a bit of butter then touch your waxy mustache, when it’s all dissolved ( because wax is oil soluble) wash with your favorite beard wash. 👍 enjoy. Also if your a logger and get pitch on your skin a bit of butter will cut through that to, better then gojo and safer then petrol, apply butter to pitch and use your fingers and nails to dissolve and remove the pitch, wash butter off with soap to remove the oil. Beard oil is a good idea as well 🤔

Use coconut oil, it’s a highly effective emollient. Coconut oil, then soap and water. Trust me.
