As A Dutch person I think this is quite accurate although I did not know the stroopwaffel trick yet ;) I recommend fries with ketchup and onions or even mustard (mustard is supposed to help with the digestion of fats).

The buienradar was a lifesaver. I have a rescue dog from Spain and he was terrified of storm and thunder. So I had to plan when it was safe to walk him. Nowadays he is used to storm and rain. A half year ago he suddenly discovered that it’s fun to walk through rain puddles. At that moment he had became a real Dutch doggie.
By the way did you notice that there are no stray dogs in the Netherlands. We were the first country in the world that solved that problem., almost 100 years ago. With a program of catching and neutering.

The weather on the west coast of Canada is a lot like the Netherlands - plenty of rain and mild winters. Dressing in layers and having rain gear is a must.

Good thing your video came along, I need to buy more Lidl stroopwafels. They're the best, aside from the fresh ones from the market.
I hope you have a good time here and please stay to enrich our little country with your awesomeness.

You can use the microwave to heat up stroopwafels. But not too long, or you'll burn your mouth. If you start bitching about the weather, you have passed the Dutchness test. It is our favourite topic.

32 years old dutchman never have i put a stroopwafel on a hot cup of coffee or tea. Why? because why should i. if i want to get it melted i get a fresh one somewhere from a stand. the store bought versions dont change the taste anyway.
