Sure in normal cases I would use a miter saw to cut 5 1/2" baseboard but thought thought this is a great demo of the accuracy of this saw. The HKC 55EB Festool saw is attaches and slides on the rail for perfect angle and cross cuts eliminating the need to mark first with a square.

This is so true some days I don't want to move the miter saw around and will run with this in the mft all day it gets weird looks but works great

The best all Round circular saw. Nothing elce really compares. (mafell makes one but Ive never seen it in real life)

I’d suggest slowing down your cuts, give the blade adequate time to remove material for a cleaner cut with little to no tear out.

Always get the mitresaw out for skirting. Never mitre the internal!

Fes is nice but..
Just the fes saw by itself costs as much as the Makita track saw, 2 rails, rail carrying case, saw carrying case, and all rail attachments (splicers and clamps).

Not saying fes is not worth it but I can't find anything my Makita can't do that the fes can.

You should cut your outside mitres at 46°. If you need any more tips just let me know as I'm an electrician.
