Highly sensitive people and people who are very aware don't have it easy, it's like a blessing and a curse

When you have a mind that is critically observant, there is no off switch. Being in the moment is always shadowed by overthought. It’s absolutely exhausting

The amount of people without a internal dialogue will astound you.

In many ways ignorance is bliss. We live in a world that's very beautiful and very ugly at the same time.

This sensitivity thing is real. People are born this way and carry a heavy load.

Wow, when you hear someone say out loud exactly how you have felt for all of your life, it brings a tear.

He was truly vulnerable and he wore no mask at all. He was incredibly kind and humble. He never put people down, nor spoke in a superior manner. He saw the differences in people without judgment. He had a pure soul.

I used to relate to this so much a few years ago when I was depressed - felt this way most of my life. Then I finally learned how to shift my focus from big things I can't control to small things that I can control, and slowly, the feelings of helplessness and lack of power faded away, and I realized that I didn't have to accomplish big things to make a difference. It's all in the little things - that's were we find it. Eventually those little things will get bigger and so will your power and control. One doesn't have to be a simple person to enjoy simple things. Enjoying simple things and learning how to let complicated issues be bigger than us, is the essence of finding that bliss. We don't need Superstrenth to climb a mountain. Just take it one step at a time.

it’s like living a constant contradiction, you’re logical side is always at war with your emotions and vice versa. and it hurts, you feel your emotions physically, to the point where you could vomit, or pass out. If you feel this way you’re not alone, you are a good person with so much love. Stay away from drugs and alcohol, or it will be the hill you die on. Learn to set boundaries while maintaining your responsibilities.

The torments of living with depression relates to this. That heaviness and darkness is hard to describe, but this clip does it by pointing out what it isn’t.

Honestly growing up is realizing most people have much more complicated lives than it may seem

Does anyone wonder why this man resonated so strongly with so many?

I specifically love that he comes from a place of humility. It’s not “better” to be him, or “worse” to be simple. It just is.

Almost checked out early myself, and it’s one of the reasons I became a therapist. Not to stop someone else, but to help them take a moment to pause and reflect.

I often wonder what this world would be like today if we hadn’t lost so many like him so young .

“I’m not saying I’m smarter than those people.”

Yes you are. You called them simpletons.

As an addict in recovery, I RELATE. It takes a lot of conscientious work to keep things simple and enjoyable.

He was an empath, a thinker, and had big feelings. It is not an easy road.
