God the grappling in the end was so brutal. The loser grabbing his dagger by the blade in a desperate attempt to turn the fight, the winner flailing for his own dagger then just wailing into the guy because the mixture of exhaustion and adrenalin makes it impossible to be any kind of precise anymore

And this is exactly why Knights often survived battles and either retreated or were captured. Hard as hell to kill one of these guys when they're still fighting back.

When you open your eyes, you see two knights fighting. When you close your eyes, you can picture a guy digging through a pile of scrap.

There’s something so raw and intimate about this in how as the fight progresses, it slowly devolves in to them trying to grapple each other to the ground, all while trying to find a gap in the armor to exploit to finally end it

The last clip is very accurate . For example in the crusades after their horses were killed most kights were finished from stabs to the neck and, armpits straight into the chest
