I think it was a nice gesture for the eagles to join joe Walsh.

Don Felder does a killer Eagles set, at a fraction of the price of a ticket to see Don Henley.

Schmidt and Walsh may not be “original” members, but they played on some iconic Eagles records

Irony of ironies: Randy Meisner left the Eagles when he could no longer hit the high notes to Take It to the Limit during concerts. He pleaded not to have to sing it at concerts, but good old Glen Frey and Don Henley insisted that he sing that solo, even though his voice could not handle it night after night. It was Randy Meisner’s signature song. When this became a major point of contention, he left the band over it. Fifty years later, greedy, hypocritical control freak Don Henley is caught lip synching during live concerts. But he won’t quit the band, retire, or do anything honorable. He’ll just keep lip synching, ripping off the fans and squeezing as much money as possible out of the Eagles legacy. What a crappy piece of work he is.

You’re absolutely right! Henley singlehandedly has ruined The Eagles reputation.
Taking down ANY Eagles song/music on YouTube, charging a small fortune for concert tickets and lastly lip syncing to live expensive concerts.
Well done Henley. The Eagles won’t have a legacy after your “already gone”.

Don Felder said "Henley and Frye rode their talent to the peak of success and never enjoyed a day of it."

Felder and Meisner were my favorite eagles. Both kicked out of the band

Calling Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmidt "hired hands" is a stretch. Those two have played along side of Henley 6 times longer than the originals, and their credentials are top-notch.

I was never a fan, but I thought Joe Walsh had always been with them.
Joe's songs always seem more memorable.

On the other hand I went to see the Doobies this year on their 50th anniversary tour. Except for the members who have died, they were all there and all played their own instruments and sang their own parts. No hired hands or ringers and they were spot on.

There was a time you could watch recordings of the Eagles live in Houston 1977 or one show from the Hell Freezes Over Tour on Youtube. To quote one of his songs "Those days are gone forever" cos they're all taken down. Thanks a lot, Henley.

They really had a great legacy going and Henley had run it down the toilet.

Joe Walsh has been there since 1975. I don't think he'd be considered a hired gun anymore.

I was so disappointed when Joe Walsh signed on with the Eagles. When I first heard about it, I couldn't believe it. He did more for them than they did for him but I don't know what kind of royalty deal he cut with them.

It’s what happens when one is a control freak. Glenn Frey too!!!
Read Don Felder’s book, it’s a must read for Eagles fans!!!

Don needs to start a chain of nursing homes, and move in one.

The biggest mistake was letting Randy go

When Glen Frey said, "You pay, we play" into the microphone at a concert I saw in Boston, I was done with the Eagles.
