I can completely feel the pain and anxiety he's going through. I was laid off a couple of days ago all of sudden and it was really hard for me to process as well considering how great things were going and I had worked my butt off to stay on top of my projects. Took me an entire day to process but I promised myself that I won't let this knock me down. I am now focused and determined more than ever to get myself back together, fight and achieve my goals. It's 3AM and I'm up finding more side projects to work on, practicing my skills, and trying to become more competitive. Yes, times are hard but it's not here to stay just like good times were never here to stay. It shall pass :)

On mid November 2022, the CEO mentioned there’s going to layoff in the coming weeks. Even though I had good reviews, I already assumed the worst that I’ll be laid off and started to look for jobs. On December 1st it was official that I would be laid off by end of year. But I’ll didn’t feel anything because In my mind I was already laid off. Before Christmas I already got a new job with even more pay. The lesson I learned is always keep your resume sharp and don’t get to comfortable, watch the economic trends and act accordingly even if you think u might be safe

I work in civil engineering and a bunch of my coworkers worked for developers in 2008. They talk about the early part of the great recession like an apocalypse where prospects for employment went from plentiful and high paying to non-existent in like a month and didn't come back for years. It's a good reminder that nothing is as secure as it looks. 🙃

Even if you do everything right, it doesn't mean life will treat you right. Real life is not like in school where if you put in the effort, you get the good grades. Real life is unpredictable.
I have been laid off at least twice and nowadays I expects it if I work for someone. I practiced several leetcode questions a week even if I am not looking for a job.

I have witnessed at least 4 layoffs (not to me but to my friends and co-workers) in my life. One thing is common every one (I repeat every one) who got fired after 3-8 months in a way better position than the Job. Either in a good job with a raise and promotion or started own business.

I am student of your "Placement Guarantee Bootcamp". Being a fresher in a recession is also tough nowadays. Companies are not posting that much jobs. I want to start my career as a frontend web developer. I'm learning everything in my capacity. At least those who are laid off, have experience in large companies but for freshers we are not getting that much attention in this whole laid off scenario. Although I'm upskilling myself every day, what is the point if i don't get interview chances. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Please make a video special for freshers and recession. Although, thank you so much for giving us education.

Being laid off is not failure, it's matter of luck. It happens to the best, it's all a matter of money and strategy, so never take it personally :)

I can understand how he is feeling right now. I also joined cognizant as a fresher and they fired 80% batch in the first 4 months and I was in 80%, it tough honestly to digest

I can completely understand the feelings he must be going through.. I joined Josh Talks by rejecting multiple well known companies and I worked there by giving my every ounce. I was super happy working in this company and very proud. but last week i got to know I am laid with a lot of hard working staff. It was shocking and took a lot of time to digest.

Although I was able to crack multiple companies after that but One thing I learned you should never work with emotions in any company.

I feel what he's feeling. The IT companies treat the employee like a product has an expiration date, when the date comes they throw him away. No loyalty to this kind of companies, change them because they kick you off.

It is really very difficult for specially students of 2022 batch freshers. At first place we are not getting joining letters, and even if we are getting it we are getting terminated within 3 months by the company by giving lame excuses. I seriously have no idea what to do.
