It's simple. It's basically a thick shaped breakfast pork sausage dipped in smoked BBQ sauce.

I am a big fan of the Mcrib. I've eaten them since they first came out in the mid 90s if I remember. I always order triple onion and pickle I learned that decades ago haha.

Too expensive for what you get, 3 bites and gone for 8 bucks, forget it.
Funny thing is had a Swanson tv rib dinner and it was basically the exact same rib with different bbq sauce plus mashies, corn and brownie on sale for 2.99.

This is NOT the McRib I tried years ago which actually tasted good, there is a marked decline in the quality of the pork product, and for the price its being offered at... Epic Fail.

i hate when fast food chains cheap out on topping. it makes me furious. i didnt pay for half the sandwich.

That's not even a light snack, it's not even a 6 inch, 4 inch mabe, that means a decent foot long (3 of those) that can actually make a dent in your hunger is 21 bucks for what is really a meatball (without much meat) sub, . And you literally cannot slice that patty any thinner.

I’m 56 and never, ever tried it - I was curious with what the hype was all about. It was ok, I wouldn’t have it again, but it was worth a try. I did enjoy it more than one of the sandwiches at KFC though 🤷🏻‍♀️. Thanks for the review

I swear I had the McRib in the 80s and I remember it when I worked at McDonald’s in the early 90s. It’s nostalgic, more of an option when you don’t feel like a burger or chicken.

They JACKED UP THE PRICE!! It used to be $4.29cdn now it's 6.59cdn.
Very stingy on sauce this year, and the patty is SMALLER than in previous years.

It is also NOT FILLING.. i would need like 2 to be filling but then thsts $13...

Subway used to have the bbq rib sub. It was one of my favourites. So I'm glad that the McRib is back. With the right amount of bbq sauce(not too much, not too little), it could easily be at least an 8/10. I hope it becomes a permanent item.

I've had just one McRib and it was probably close to 40 years ago. I recall I liked it then but I wasn't much into fast food then, not am I now. I'll probably try it again to just say I did it. I do like the way some of these places are bringing back items from the past for a limited time.

I had a McRib literally last month as the McDonald's next to my place was one of 4 in Canada that had a trial run.... it must have worked out well now that ppl like you in BC are having these McMuffin sausage rib burgers
