How to Break a Full-Court Press | 4 Across

Rick illustrated a press offense play that starts in a 4 across line-up. This action is great vs. a full-court man-to-man defense, especially at the end of the game.

Not the greatest press break. You want your 1 setting your screen for the 2 - 1 guard gets the ball, seals and looks for his 2 or 3 (who just inbounded the ball) on the wing. 4 and 5 line up in a line with the guards, as soon as the 3 says “break” the 4 & 5 run to the other end. When 1 gives the ball to 2, whichever big is opposite of the where the ball went FLASHES middle…they then look around for the 3 running down the wing. Easy layup and works every time. The 1 can manipulate the defence which a ball fake and with that gets it to the wing. That’s the best way to beat a press at all levels.

I hope teams use this against me someday... this wont work on any zone press only man press, then you rely on players who can make long accurate passes
