Great idea. I do not have a freeze dryer so I do a simular thing except I can mine. I add sweet potatoes and other overage veggies to my meat and bone broth and my Lab and Shitzu both LOVE IT. My vet says they are perfectly healthy and they are happy happy happy .

I used to give my Husky all raw diet. It was way cheaper for us. He absolutely loved it. All the gizzards heart liver in the legs he loved them on a chicken ❤

When we got a rescue dog, German Shepherd, he was is bad shape and just had surgery for kidney and gaul bladder stones. The vet said her would need a specialized diet for the rest of his life. After doing research, we decided to give him a all raw food diet. The vet couldn't believe the change in him at his 6 mo check up. His digestion was functioning normally. His coat was thick and shiny. His teeth were strong and white and no "dog breath".
When meat started getting more expensive, we bought meat from the big grocery stores. He didn't like the meat at all. He could tell the difference between "factory raised " meats and grass fed, and refused commercial chicken.

The guerilla garden at my aunts house gave her a truck load of pumkins. My cousin pureed them, then freeze-dried them for her dogs.

My local butcher grinds all saw scraps and sells that as pet food, contains all the leftover bits. My GSD had so many problems until I switched her to all raw. And yes, 💩 is so small and disappears so fast! Plus, my 80 pound GSD only eats 12 ounces a day. Then they get all the fruit and veggies from the garden they want.

My dog aint getting that heart! Lol. Pig heart makes a great Filipino soup called Bachoy. It's basically tenderized by simmering with garlic, Ginger and onions. Sliced into small thin slices and makes a great broth. Served with steamed rice and scallions.

But hey! I share with my fur babies 😁 Great video!

BTW Chloe looks healthy! Good size and shiney coat 😍

Now I'm wondering if I can call the processor back who has my cow and ask for the lungs and sinew...

My uncle owned a small butcher shop 30 years ago and I can remember once a week we would whip up a huge batch of dog food. Chicken livers, fat, eggs and sometimes he would even incorporate some stale bread that didn't sell. He would feed it to his wife's champion breed of Dalmations that lived off this stuff. Homestead-made dog food is the best!

Dry those egg shells and you can grind them up and add calcium to their food. Also good to add to the compost pile and makes them easier to break down

Raw food made a big difference in my old dogs. We are able to pick pick up a 40lb case of chicken for about $35. We grind it up bone and all. Cheaper than kibble.

My dogs get my "dirty eggs" (which I do wash) but they get eggshell and all RAW. They get a high fat % beef (we found high fat was necessary for one of our dogs who we couldn't get weight on for years!). They also get a good % of their meals in vegetables. This time of year, we're feeding them winter squash. In summer they get some berries, zucchini, green beans, and occasionally a tomato (when they get in the garden and thieve them off the vine)! We add some yogurt, dried kelp and powdered garlic. They love it and I've never seen healthier dogs! I wish we'd started this years ago. They do miss out on most organ meats because I didn't "process" those into smaller packages when our animals were butchered. This will be remedied when we buy another whole beef. They do get some bone as well. I ordered some sardines for a weekly high fat infusion for they and our chickens because Vitacost had a darn good price. I bought 50 cans.

I save all the meat scraps for my dogs. I share my beef liver, heart, and kidney as well. They know when I make bone broth-I give them the meat scraps and chicken feet for days!
They love it!

We mix kibble with homemade dog food and eggs. We give our dogs the shells too, broken up well. I can homemade dog food (scraps from meats & vegetables) as well.

Hello! New to your page. First video I watched was you showing Milkboy doing some pup training. We are doing some homework on LGDs prior to getting one, that's how I found your page! So glad I did too, sounds like we're on very similar pages. Excited to check out more videos, thanks!
