Argento is a master of cinematography and putting vibrant colors and textures on screen. His films are always visual stunning with amazing soundtracks. Allot of Giallo films do this too but Argento is the best for me.

That scene in city of the dead where the woman throws up her insides and her boyfriend gets the back of his head squeezed off is so classic !!!

The Beyond is my favourite Fulci film and one of my favourite horror films. It's a masterpiece that isn't talked about enough.

I’ve seen nearly everyone of the movies on the list, with the exception of Deep Red. Most of these scenes creeped the hell out of me as a kid, but I’d like to think I’m stronger now as an adult because of them.

Zombi 2 was amazing. Probably one of the best zombie movies ever made. You can't beat Shark vs Zombie.

This just shows how close-knit the Italian horror community was in the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. Argento produced Demons I & II, with the first featuring a silent Michele Soavi, who was the guy in the car/truck with the vomiting girl in Fulci’s City of the Living Dead.

The SyFy channel is what introduced me to many B movies I still enjoy to this day

Interestingly, Zombie was actually one of the main inspirations for the Resident Evil series.

If you wanna see some brutal shit in movies, I'd recommend "Man behind the Sun", which is actually kind of a biopic about Unit 731 in Japan during WWII. It's all about how the Japanese brutally experimented on captured Chinese POW's. Some of it isn't pleasant to watch, but if you're unaware shit like this has even happened then it's one of those films that will really open up your eyes to human brutality and cruelty. Some of the stuff these guys did make the Nazi's look like amateurs.

The 2nd movie I'd recommend is Martyrs, and it's way more recent. It's about this cult that wants proof that heaven exists, so they take these innocent tourists and, as the title suggests, turn them in to martyrs by torturing them to the brink of death because they believe if you suffer enough then you'll see heaven before you die. It's pretty gruesome what they do to this one girl, all while keeping her alive and talking until the painful end so she can tell them what she sees.

Herschell Gordon Lewis was known as The Godfather of Gore years before Lucio Fulci.

SPLINTER IN THE eye has been on so many of your list that include horror and gore.

Top 3 (In my opinion):
1. Splinter in the eye
2. Guts
3. Brains
I've not seen any of these movies, so it is very hard for me to choose on this list, however, the one scene I do remember that is so brutal is the splinter in the eye from Zombie. It is so brutal; I look away every time that sequence happens.

WatchMojo - Lets make a list of things "we cannot show you here" and post it "here". We can talk but "we cannot discuss this" bc reasons.

All these bots in comments saying watchmojo did a good job… They showed like none of the “brutal scenes” this channel has really gone downhill. Anything for content i guess 😴

Not only have seen them but also own them either on Beta, VHS, DVD and a couple on Blu-ray.
