Nasa launches Artemis 1 in first US attempt to return astronauts to the moon in 50 years

Nasa launched its most powerful moon rocket on November 16, 2022. Artemis 1 carried the Orion capsule, which is on course for a 25-day journey to the moon and back. The launch followed two previous attempts that were aborted due to technical problems. While the spacecraft was uncrewed for this particular flight, the US space agency hopes to send astronauts on future missions, taking humans back to the moon for the first time since 1972.

Very nice. Nail it on first attempt. All the engine that the SLS used are from old stocks. Once those stocks are used, I am not sure if they are going to produce them again. Bear in mind, the pricetag is astronomical compared to SpaceX starship. All eyes on Starship to succeed, so that they can ferry passengers to the Moon & Mars. We are in for some excitement in the coming years with Moon habitation, Mars exploration & sample return.
