The end of metal detecting 2019

This is the last metal detecting day for us and the 2019 season. We found a great 1700s 1800s cellar hole out in the woods here in New Hampshire and dig some digging. Looking for old relics around these old foundations is awesome and we love finding stuff. A bunch of old buttons, brass, pewter and tombac were found. But, it was the last day we could get out in the woods with our metal detectors because of the snow. Thank you all of SDN for tuning in and watching over the year.

Charlie you had the best luck with finding the fancy buttons. I was happily surprised to see the decorative patterns on most all of them. Waynos that escucheon find was excellent, the fancy on that was beautiful. Digger Dame I'm sorry that the hunt that day ended up being a bummer but we all know that those days are few and far between for the Stealth Digger crew ✌ LFOD
Stay safe and stay well guys 🤗

You folks should be taking burnt wood samples in the hope that some day a Grad student might be able to date the fire that destroyed the homes you are detecting. I find colonial history incredibly intriguing. I'm fascinated by all these really remote cellar holes. Really wish I had a time machine... Love all the videos. Thanks!

An idea for a video in the off-season is documenting the research you put in to find these old sites. Has to be a lot. Would help educate us on methods we could use. You could keep it a season off so as not to give anything away and use some footage from the actual hunt you did at the site in the summer.

An old adage says, When SD goes out like a lamb it comes in like a lion. Thanks for 2019's videos, awesome year. Good luck with 2020. wish you all well.
