Just one note, however. When moving to a relative path it is imperative to not include the initial '/'. For example, to move from the /home/user directory to the Pictures directory just enter cd Pictures - no '/'

I am a security researcher and tester, I use the terminal religiously whenever I am using linux. I find the GUI overwhelms me, where as the terminal is simple. Strange as it may seem, I "see" my own version of the file system in my mind when I am working on the CLI. However, when work is over, I use my desktop to game on and that has windows 10. If linux could run the same applications I would use it in a heart beat!
