Usually you top rope someone else after you made the climb and they clean the gear coming up behind you. Or you set an anchor at the top and repel back down from it and clean your own gear coming down.

Rock climbing is one of those things that I will never have the courage to do, but will always reserve some sort of fascination for the people that do.

Usually, my partner would bottom belay my climb, then I would top belay for him, and while he was climbing he would collect the pro. Or after completing the climb, I would do a two line rappel, with one line doubled, collect the pro on the way down, then pull the line down when I was back on the ground.

Idk if this applies, but I was always taught to always have the quick draw connected to me at all times, this is coming from a sport climber and not a trad climber so idk if there are different rules with cams.

I was out climbing with my friends and about 280 feet up there was a permanent bolt that was snapped in half. That bout did it for me

There's some hobbies that seem waaaay off on the entertainment-to-risk ratio for my taste. Like, I get that it's adrenaline, but at the end of the day I'm just climbing. Incredibly slowly. Whereas paragliding, for example, I would do. Because the thrill of literally flying like in our dreams is kinda worth the potential of falling out of the sky.
