I feel the pain, my dad asked for my fixed blade knife earlier, I asked him why he needed it as I handed it too him, he stayed silent as he proceeded to use it edge side to unscrew a bolt. I just stood there watching him do it, He chuckled and said it's Just a knife... My edge has a chip in it now, Could have been worse. Having a cheap pocket knife or multi tool is Ideal for when people ask to use your knife. Just thought I'd share God bless you guys!

I just got a Kershaw with Magnacut....wouldn't that steel be super tough to sharpen or repair ?

Near the tip of the knife, there is clearly an incomplete grind on this knife. If you use a sharpie and a magnifying glass with the precision adjust sharpener, you can see when you havent finished grinding everything yet.

This needed another 20-30 minutes on the coarse grit.

For some reason I get better edge retention and performance out of my Endura 4 with VG10 than the Mini Griptilian with S30V

Hamer it through the crap. It's the flexing caused by sawing motion that is the worst. Buck knife goes right through commo wire if struck on the spine.
