Raspberry Pi Workshop - Chapter 2 - Introduction to Python

The IDLE is Python's shell. It's useful for trying out commands real-time. We can write a Python script, which is just a sequence of Python commands.

I've tried to squeeze in as many Python features as I could into this short script. Compare the script to what you see output when it is run; There's definitely a few tricks worth knowing!

Hi there! I've just received my Core Electronics Raspberry Pi 4 Ultimate Kit and am following these tutorials. I've just got to this one and it doesn't appear to me that Python is installed as part of the micro SD card that came with the kit, is this right or am I just not looking in the right place? If it isn't there, can you point me in the right direction of a tutorial on how to download and install it? There are a lot of references online though I have no idea which are real or if I could get myself into trouble! Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated!s

Python IDE icons don't appear on the programming section on the applications menu, I installed Noobs normally and updated everything. does anyone know why this is?

I copied out your code for first_script.py, but when I ran it the string3 wasn't inserted into the printed statement, but just printed {0} {1} and {2} respectively. Has there been some changes to python that might have affected this? I am running version 3.7.3 in the Thonny IDE
