There are three starting players on Cloud9’s VALORANT roster right now and their first match in VCT Americas is a little over two weeks away.

When I was watching DRX vs C9 on Icebox, I only had one though: when C9 will move viper wall on top of 410?! This small change could easily upset DRX strategy of planting on top of site and spamming from save position

What Jack means by that Reddit comment is that the org isn't going under or projected to due to finances, but if they want to endure the recession/sponsors leaving they need to minimize expenses where possible. They probably would've been fine with letting yay play out his contract or the media team staying but long term those are some areas they decided spending should be cut.

I know Valorant is more refined in the world of pro esports but in Apex I get tired of the same team and comp changes after one bad event. NiceWig was commenting that’s one of his biggest issues with the pro scene. Everyone can have off days and sometimes that occurs during tournament time. These orgs only care about consecutive performance and zero team building for possibly a dynasty in the future. I know they said it was “team rolls” that played a part in them leaving but I can’t imagine that Yay and Vanity couldn’t adapt. Lol

Bruh this Cloud9 roster had so much potential, Xeppa is performing much better now and Yay and Zellsis is doing their job fine, Maybe a better IGL is all they need but overall it could be a great team, Such a shame.

why do people support specific esports teams?

with more regional sports i can understand this since even if the roster changes the team is supposed to represent a place. im just really curious why someone like our host would follow and support a team for 10 years when the team it is now is nothing like what it was when it formed

What all this just proves is that

1. C9 is more concerned about saving money than seeing their own plan out for a decent amount of time
2. That Optic gaming roster should never have been disbanded. Would've been expensive to get everyone on board, but it would've been worth it. No one in that roster is doing well now, everyone took a step down in terms of play, accolades, and situation

imagine having severe role issues and who do you sign? a player who only has played 1 agent in the entire last year, and that same agent is now nerfed to the ground. Great (also Yay could play with the op insanely with any agent)
