"At the highest level, what sales really is, is a transference of emotion"

In an interview for a human resource position; my boss asked me the best sales question ever ! He asked: how tall is the pyramid? I said: I don't know....He said: Guess! I wanted to act real smart, so I also played it safe and said I don't know... He said: you have to give me a guess... So I said maybe 100 m... He said you didn't ask which pyramid....! Then he said trying to understand exactly what the customer wants or is asking about, can help you a lot....

I just stared a sales position. This is great. Awesome content. Most important things:
1) Sell yourself, not the product
2) Actually care about the people
3) find a solution to their problems and add value to their lives. If you can’t, then admit it and help them in another way

My first wife used to say "Quit using that sales stuff on me!" I have been in sales and marketing for over 35 years. All good advice on this video. Communication is key. Thanks.

Building rapport is a very powerful way to connect to people. Both in sales and in everyday life. Great compilation.

Peter Sage's discussion about how the most essential part of a sales call is not the close, but building trust, relationships and true understanding of what the client needs are.

17:35 ”Now, if you come from a place of authenticity and sincerity I guarantee you spend time there, not just your clients, not just your prospects, not just your potential sales yet will start to increase, but the richness of who you are comes out.”

Absolutely true, authenticity = abundance 🙌

Two things resonated with me: give things away, get your dream customer to test drive your products and find out what your customer wants and how you can provide that with authenticity.

The key to sales: don't sell and care more about helping others and creating value.

Consultative Selling is what resonated with me the most.

Sales advice: I once worked for a company that used a technique called, F.B.B. That acronym stood for Feature Bridge Benefit. This simply meant, that with the information obtained from your discovery, to effectively to your consumer, you must give a feature, bridge it to the consumer and explain how they will benefit from your product or service.

What Peter Sage said about the art of selling is on point. 90% of a sales conversation should be focused on understanding the potential client by asking skilled questions to uncover their problems deeper than surface level - how it affects them emotionally. Only 10% should be focused on committing the customer to the sale (aka closing).

When they trust and like you, they are a lot more open to working with you (buying your product or service).

Cheers for sharing Evan!

i've been watching some of the 10 rules videos (those were basically life changing if I could ever realize the wisdom contained in them) and then I hit this video... I must say that I can only hope to someday apply these messages to my everyday life. The fact that this video only has 18, 000 views makes me feel like I stumbled into a goldmine. VERY SINCERE, and FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE is what Evan Carmichael has portrayed in his video series. Thank you SO much for sharing your collection.

Connecting with the real needs of the people, as well as with what they want, and sincerely guiding them even if it means not selling to them is the best way to be successful in every aspect of life. There is no better richness than making people happy. Great thought of Peter Sage. I loved the whole video, excellent work Evan! Thanks for sharing.
My advice is: Don´t sell just for selling, be sure that the buyers are going to genuinely enjoy the product or that the will really benefit with what they are buying. Money doesn´t buy happiness, be happy first knowing that you are actually doing good to the costumers that buy from you. Don´t sell products, sell happiness.

As an Instagram artist trying to get my art to be bought as well as working on my thesis and working on retail I appreciate this compilation so much!
I feel like I need to practice writting more than speaking, getting out of obscurity however I can, be genuine and don't offer art I wouldn't buy myself, be genuine with what I'm doing and also read/listen to audiobooks more to expand my thoughts.
