even in playthroughs, that thing is bad, partly because it is in the slow experience group without having anything to make up for that whatsoever. It's really sad because Tropius's design is incredibly cool and unique.

It's a real shame Tropius wasn't able to bear fruit in the competitive scene, as power creep really spoiled things.

Still remember encountering him in the original Ruby Sapphire. A fully grown dragon in a tall grass encounter, how cool is that? Then I learned the hard way that he just doesn't win any fights, at all.

It was an excellent HM slave however. Not only could it pack Fly, Cut, Strength, Flash and Rock Smash, but it also had Sweet Scent and could learn Razor Leaf and Earthquake. This made it all you needed to have for EV-Training in ORAS.
