My "Para 3" is my KC Exclusive Cruwear Manix 2. Every other knife I own is an enthusiast purchase, I got them because I love everything about them as an enthusiast. I hunted out that particular Manix 2 to be my take anywhere and everywhere knife.

I carry all my knives in California regardless of size. I think it's only gonna matter if your arrested or caught doing something your not supposed to. Cops don't go around checking people's knives length when they see a clip hanging from somebody's jeans.

I’m 6’4 270lb but in the city and like small, low key knives. I have 5-6 Dragonfly 2’s and many others. I still have 7-8 big knives (over 3.5” blade). Lots of 3-3.5 blades..But, most of my knives are narrow, light for size and good blade/handle ratio. I handled the Microtech Socom Elite (manual) in store and was blown away. It’s big but close to the perfect knife. I bought a second one. It’s still one of the few knives that interests me if I could find the damn things in stock..

Can’t wait for the blade shape episode. How many people know that a wharncliff is a work blade that keeps a pokey tip but is designed to never have the tip face your body in normal use

It all boils down to your preference and suitable need, when I got my sage 5 lightweight, man, it was bigger than I expected, compared to a lot of reviewer suggest, then I remember I’m a 5’3” adult with kids hand, holding the knife is like holding a sword, I can put 7 fingers on that knife, basically the perfect knife is what suits you,

I mean.. all things considered.. a Swiss Army knife would probably cover the needs of 99.5% of urban EDC tasks. But most of us here are probably knife nuts so the perfect knife would be your personal preference that is legal to carry in your area.

I recently got myself a para 3 and a benchmade 940 I'm liking both but I'm gravitating more towards the para 3 although I love the action on the benchmade

I've always liked small bladed knives with full handles. For me it's usually more practical for everyday tasks. When I was kid, I saw the knife in the original Saint series and my whole life I have been looking for a similar setup. Now we have "California" legal knives and some of them come close but I'll probably have to make my own one day. I also find it hilarious how, in recent years, if a blade isn't exactly long as the handle the compulsory response seems to have become, "Well, don't really like the blade to handle ratio on that one." But five minutes later the same people will be extolling the virtues of the Para3

I have or have had most of the knives on the table and carry a full-size griptilian with deathgripscales everyday. It just hits everything so perfect for me. That being said, I love love love my native 5 and it's always close by. P.S. I also use my praxis the way you use yours. Took down the garden fence the other day and went through 2-300 zip ties. I use knives for a living and I was very impressed on how sharp it still was when I was done!

Best knife channel I’ve come across. Educated well on knives

I stopped buying knives with handles shorter than 4.3, or blades>3'' because I know I won't carry them. I always grab the bigger knives.

Depends on primary use.Personally, I prefer a big, man killing blade, but those are not the most effective for my day to day use, I'd say anything- a griptillian, para 2, manix, or anythingwith a 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 blade you can open and close one handed, with a decent lock will do

There's something about that Penguin. I often find myself picking up the penguin, over the para 3, which is my most frequently carried EDC, when I head out the door.

I also carry a smaller knife, either a Maileah or a Protech Sprint, and I usually have an Ultratech, Hornet, or Praxis in a sheath. But my main blade, the one that ride shotgun, is almost always either the Para 3 or the Penguin.

The Para 3, unlike so many other knives, feels like a 6th finger almost. Just feels so naturally like an extension of my hand. As much as I love the PM2, there is the same feeling.

All this being said, after watching your videos for a couple of months i finally bit the bullet and bought a Spyderco Para 2 with th cpm cruwear blade.

I appreciate your videos and content. I do not always agree with you, and that is fine. But regardless of agreement or not, you provide insight of either other things to consider. Moving from I have a knife to an enthusiast, it is also sometimes just what you prefer. Thus, not needing to explain your choices. Look forward to the next installment

What's everyone's opinion on the Spyderco Manix? So close to a paramilitary but I just love the bar lock on knives

People also get confused with favorite knife and most used they don’t have to be the same. Favorite knife: ZT 0562ti, most carried easily par3 lw nothing else even close. If I could modify the para 3 lw, it would have the blade grind of the tenacious. ( For me that would make it the perfect EDC for me) As I never choke down on the knife. And more frequently use a reverse grip draw cut for some fine work.

Cadet in my pocket right now. Probably gets carried 50% of the time (the other 50% is my lil native). When you have really short blade restrictions (such as the 2.5" federal facility restriction), I think the "blade to handle ratio blah blah blah" disappears. If I can hold onto a knife with 4 fingers comfortably, 2.5" works great. Sure, I'd prefer 3-3.5", but I'm not going to risk my job or going to jail over 0.5"-1.0". Maybe I'm just less flexible on the parameters of the handle. Fitting in my hand properly is a key criteria for me.
