I would like to see an EDC video on "Tools That Actually Work." Price is not an option. I want EDC tools that hold up over the years. The Rolls Royce EDC List.

Very gratifying video. I worked for Chris Reeve for 16 years as his Master Grinder, leaving in late 2017. Thanks for the insights, excellent recommendations.

One and done? When you're a knife guy, you're never done.

I was stuck between the Para 2 and Manix 2 lightweight. I liked the ergos of the Para 2 better. Ultimately the lock was the deciding factor. The lock on the Para rubs my finger when opening the knife. The Manix ergos are really good, the weight is great and the lock is easy to adapt to. I sourced o e from a local knife shop for $145. I know I could have got it cheaper online, but I wanted to support a local business.

We have similar tastes. I tend to carry a Para 3 the most, followed by a Large Sebenza, Small Sebenza, and PM2 depending on my tasks for the day and the mood I’m in.

I'm partial to my ZT 0452CF. Build quality is excellent, blade geometry works, on larger side but not too large to EDC, came in at 240 at time of purchase. Has titanium frame lock and one side is carbon fiber.
I like your picks but its ZT for the win.
A close second would be a Kizer bad dog by Matt cucchiara. Can be had around 160 right now and is solid.

They are throughly out of stock, but my one-and-done would be the Bark River Mini Aurora in 3V. Mid-sized blade, thin enough to slice well, convex edge is strong enough for hard work, 3V is the closest we’ve got to indestructible at the moment, general utility shape is suited for almost any task, can literally be hammered through logs, and it’s classy as hell. Plus, super duper warranty in case I mess it up.

I love the Benchmade mini boost 595. Spring loaded, easy button release to close and great size. Quickest consistent action

Solid recs! I am surprised you didn’t mention the R2D2 in the budget category. And my choice if I could only have 1 would be my 940-1, because it has the most blade real estate of a knife you can’t even feel yourself carrying, and also because I’m a lefty so the axis lock stuff is great for that. Runners up, under the same logic and fun fidget factor would be the large or small Ritter Hogue. I own both and love both.

If it weren't for the possibility of omega springs breaking (ive broken 2), I'd definitely pick my bm 940. Smooth as butter, holds a great edge, lightweight and I can't think of another knife with a 3" blade that disappears in the pocket the way the 940 does. But because i can't change the omega spring problem, im gonna say my pm2.

I agree with your pick of the large Sebenza. I have several (small Umfaan, med Sebenza and the large.) His fixed blades are great too. Great show.

My favorite is my pm2 with rain drop carbon fiber flytanium scales, lynch deep carry clip, flytanium copper lanyard plug, and maxamet blade. Love this knife!!

Spot on. That is exactly how I would buy them working up the food chain.

This is one of the very best knife review videos ever made and I have seen most - excellent job!!!

Just one note: the M390 Spyderco Para3 shown here was not a sprint run; it was a DLT Trading dealer exclusive. The distinctions are that Spyderco sprint runs are limited runs available throughout the dealer network and they are single releases. The dealer exclusives often come out in multiple runs, though some dealers, such as BladeHQ tend to do single run dealer exclusives. Another difference is that dealer exclusives are released at an announced date and time, while Spyderco sprints are a hit and miss thing.

I’ve only ever had one “nice” knife and it was a cold steel code 4. I loved it though. Finally got around to ordering another one earlier, and I would not be upset if i had to stick with it forever.

Love my Civivi Elementum! Love the modest size, smooth one-hand deploy and nice D2 Steel.

My favorite knife is definitely my old AFCK, which has been carried and used hard(lineman), for 30-35 years. It will do, and has done anything that I need from a knife. From cleaning an elk to removing a splinter.

Nice job! I have all of those. Think you nailed it…three years ago. That’s about when I stopped buying so many knives! I had gravitated to all of these knives, and I really didn’t think I could top them. Thanks for your videos!
