Thanks for the well paced video, clear helpful information. FYI = To search for completed listings on eBay:
Click the “Advanced Search” link, located next to the search box at the top of most eBay pages.
In the “Enter keywords or item number” field, enter two or three words that describe the item. ...
Select the “Completed listings” option.
Click the Search button.

Morning Nic, love your vid's.I have been doing this for year's.In the 80's i was very poor, had a gambler for a hubby and three little ones.I used charity shops to buy cheap and sold to people....it saved me.I now sell on Ebay, life is sweet. You have to know what you are buying in order to make profits. The work is hard, but for me so much fun....shopping on a shoe string.

Hi Nick I agree with everyone saying how great your videos are, they really are informative and inspiring.I'm not a mega successful seller (yet lol) but something I've done in the past is if I've had say 10+ identical items, I've put most of them on a buy it now and then auctioned 1 with a picture link to the buy it now listing that says something like "press here to buy it now if you can't wait". It worked quite well if the auction got a lot of views.

one thing I've noticed is that if you have multiple items under one listing & say one of your items sells it won't show as a sold item but still shows as green under completed listings.i now check both options just to make sure.

Hi Nic just a little update. I took your advice and have started selling BIN - really great results. Sometimes need to play with the price but at least I have a good mark up strategy where auctions can be hit and hope. Thanks for the advice

Excellent video nick. Very informative, also thanks for directing vandablueorchid and me to the packaging video. The information you give every week helps us out so much as we're very new to reselling. I only started to resell games to fund my own games collection, but now we're on the lookout for anything that sells from car boots. You've really inspired us and hoping that vandablueorchid doesn't have to go back to work after maternity due to reselling profits. Many thanks :-)

Hi Nick, I'm currently going down the same route and find your videos extremely helpful regarding the boot sales and charity shops as I am also in the UK, I've literally started this business this week and the first thing I'm selling is furby booms from an Argos warehouse retailer at a price of 15 pounds, selling for 30. please could you make a video of how you list your items on eBay, at present I'm only on eBay and never really bought or sold from Amazon, could you please do a somewhat of a tutorial of Amazon and the difference between fba, that you mention in a few of your videos. thanks in advance and keep up these amazing informative videos. p.s, you seem like a nice guy too :-)

hi nic, great video as usual, had you thought about making a video about your experiences with couriers, preferred postage companies, how they treated you if an item got damaged i.e. getting compensation, customer service, simplicity with importing your ecommerce sales for fast postage payment and tracking, i only ask as i recently had a item smashed that was securely packed and i want to provide the best delivery option for my customers,

i think this would be a great video for you subscribers as sellers face these postage choices and issues with every sale

What about people just starting out that are under ebay restrictions? Wouldn't it be better for them to use the auction format that way they sell more and get the restrictions lifted faster? If you can only list 10 items and you use buy it now, you will probably be sitting on those items for a long time. I think for new sellers auctions are the best route and then once you get the restrictions lifted then start using the buy it now format. what do you think?

How long would you leave items on buy it now until you put it to auction?

I hardly ever list as auction either, although if the item is particularly rare can be the best option ie I listed a pair of old Lynx shower gels (mentioned in old video of yours, stuck in my memory)
That I picked up for 50p, I knew there where desirable and didn't want to undersell them.
So listed as auction and got £36!
Thanks for that btw
On the look out for more now lol
Have you stumbled across any since that video?

Great videos Nic! Question: This last half year or so I find less and less interesting items for sale on fleamarkets and especially on Ebay (I used to find pretty good priced lots on there). Someone told me that people are now simply listing on their facebook the stuff they have for sale. Do you see this shift happening? I myself am not active on facebook, but I think I gotta check it out. What's your opinion? Thanks man.

Hi nic.. Great videos mate ..just wondering how long would you suggest to keep an item up on buy it now? I know you done a video a while back about this and something about if you keep it on more then 30 days (think its called good till cancelled) then it doesn't show up and eBay puts it right down the bottom of the list for that item .. What do you suggest? I'm guessing maybe 30 days? Thanks nic
