What made this creature so daunting was the fact it knew to cause excess pain and torment before killing. Whether it be shredding your insides. Breaking your limbs. Or, manually opening your helmet so the last breath you take is the one it takes from you.

This is the beast Alien movie since Alien and Aliens. It is the one that understood its B movie origin and concept, executing it brilliantly. I found it really frightening -which after Alien and Aliens is quite an achievment.

This alien is the Mary Sue of aliens.
Its just perfectly able to adapt to any conditions, impervious to all threats. Its requires more than just a suspension of disbelief. I think its a lazy villain.
