Correction:
SMTP is not used to check email. SMTP is ONLY used for the purpose of sending and receiving email messages to and from a server.
The protocols you would use to *check* your email are POP (Post office protocol) or IMAP (internet message access protocol)

This one is well done. I have dealt in detail with packet switching and the 7 layer model while in college, this was a good visual and simplified explanation. I know the point is to be quick but my only suggestion would be to include NAT also.
