I just picked up my new 2024 Limited XT yesterday. Yes, the turbo lag is noticeable, BUT, oh my goodness—when it does kick in, the whole front end just lifts up as it rockets away. Noticeable, yes, but I’m VERY happy with how well it catches up so quickly. I’m about to watch your video on the infotainment system, because, man, I’m a techie and this thing is information overload. Still, I haven’t had it a day yet, so like anything else, I’ll quickly get used to the features and functions. Thanks for this great review!

My wife’s Outback has the beautiful Ivory interior as well and my Forester has the Saddle Brown Leather interior which is not only comfortable but also gorgeous.

Regarding the placement of the push-to-start button, I would agree with your comment IF that button was needed during the drive, like the buttons on the actual Infotainment screen are. But it’s not—you only ever push it while sitting static. Personally, it’s in a perfect location—out of the way of all the buttons you DO access while driving. Great overview!

I sometimes wish I got the turbo... And REALLY wanted tan or brown interior, but then Subaru came out with that Dark mahogany pearl, and I had to have it.

With the new model, I think it would be good if Subaru added an altimeter on one of the displays. They could put it where one of the compasses is. Subarus are often in mountainess places.

Ordered one just like this one in cosmic blue.

FYI we are buying a 2025 and it’s the same as the current 2024 with maybe a few changes that I don’t know about. The 2026 is the new version.

That lag from a stop was really hard to get used to for me. I was either flooring it or barely moving. I hope they fix that in future models. I’ve had my ‘23 for 9 months and I’m finally getting used to it.

How reliable are the boxer engines? I keep seeing conflicting information?

miss the ivory interior i had in my gen 5, all black only for the gen 6 in UK/EU, but at least we have heated steering now. would love to get XT engine option, but never going to happen with the new emission laws, even though it better then the 2.5 option we get 😠

i hope the 25 cuts back on the front plastic cladding. Thethe cvt as good as one can be, I actually thought the turbo lag was minimal. Drives great and the Napa leather is luxury.

Once the adaptive transmission learns your driving style it will perk up

Do the seats suck painful on long drives? I just traded in my 2015 Outback Premium for the 2024 Limited and after several long drives I'm worried these seats are bad. It's maybe the fake leather? When I called the sales department they informed me the seats will "break in" and get softer

Phones look different in five years, well, except iPhones. 😅. Thanks for the review!

Can you opt-out from them selling your data to data brokers and data agregators? (i.e., GPS, Biometric, etc.)

Both our Outback and our Forester Touring are 2019 year models.
We have 28K on our Outback and only 11K miles on our Forester, so we’ll be driving our Subie’s for several years to come.
When they wear out if Subaru still doesn’t have a reliable hybrid system, we’ll go back to Toyota.

I heard there is no changes on the 2025

Are you sure? The Forester was redesigned in 2019, and the Outback in 2020. Therefore the Forester will receive a redesign first, then the Outback. The 2024 Forester remains the same. So that means we’ll get a new Forester in 2025. The Outback and Forester won’t be redesigned at the same time, so the new Outback will be a 2026 model.
