Thank you for highlighting the importance of costume to any production. Given the intricacies of life in any era, how a body was clothed and how the body was able to move within that clothing certainly influenced the thinking of the time, and vice versa. It's as important as location, landscape, writing and acting. It's not merely "window dressing".

There is a French movie coming out, by Stéphanie Di Giusto called "Rosalie" (at least for us, I have no idea if it will be distributed else where and if they are going to change its title for the world release if) it's a bout a woman who has PCOS and has hair on her face etc. She has to get married, and she contemplates the option of becoming a "model" in a show. It takes place in the late 19th century and the costumes look really good from the trailer, perhaps a little bit early for the 1870 but I suppose we were early trend-setters in France 😜

Yes!! I love this ranking and I’ve been saving it until I have time to properly watch it.
I’m pretty sure it was one of your previous ones that turned me onto the Gilded Age, I can’t remember how it did, and I know in terms of storyline it somewhat plausibly borrows from some real characters and events but I adore that show so much.
