Fun Fact - Golden Minigunner DID have lead detection, but developers got rid of it from a shadow update I'm guessing.

As much as I like this video, I disagree with a lot of the ratings. I can see where you're coming from, but I think comparing them to their original counterparts kind of hinder their placements. The golden versions of these towers while mostly just being stat buffs, still change how some of them are used.

GMini for example, goes from a spammable sub-dps that can be easily used in any time of a match, turns into a mid-late game menace that needs support but can thrive with it. The being said, I think the tower is a 5 or 6/10, with it's only viability being really trios or squads because of the newfound placement limit and also being outclassed by every other dps in the game, even accelerator.

GPyro, while not dealing the most damage, is extremely useful for both the increased afterburn time, but also the defense melting, making pyro even better of a support. It may cost a bit more, yea, but he still fills the same purpose but just better which is what a golden tower should do.

GScout for me personally is just... So bad now. You go through the hassle of grinding a gold crate and you get this early game tower than can barely even hold its own in fallen, where a tower like crook boss or trapper can easily handle the early game. It makes no sense why the tower gets as much praise as it does when it's so outclassed, especially with GSoldier in the mix. Spamming level 2 GSoldiers CLEARS the first 20-25 waves of fallen with little to no problem and the dps, while seemingly good, doesn't really do much in the late game, but still remains prevalent in the mid game. He's a hyper early specialist, with little place in mid game and almost no presence in late game besides flying.

GCrook in my opinion doesn't really rely on his crooks as his main DPS. They are a SUPPLEMENT to his DPS, not the other way around. I feel that often is a common misconception - be it because of unit stacking or other things, but with how fragile the units tend to be to stomps, stuns, attacks, rushers, they really don't pale in comparison to the tower itself.

The only tower I can somewhat agree on is GCowboy. His presence in a lot of things often is forgotten but he still does his job well and much better than normal cowboy. Solo Hardcore is the main thing I can think of when I think of GCowboy, but also Solo Fallen and Duo Badlands, Pizza Party, and Polluted Wastelands. I agree he can't really be used outside of solos or duos due to his placements taking a majority of your finite tower limit, but in the times he shines, he REALLY shines.

Like I said tho, great video, just personally don't agree with some of the opinions but they're not unvalid and you have solid reasoning for them (at least in my eyes).

Gpyro is 9/10. Just because it doesn't improve pyro a lot doesn't meant it's a 7.5. By that logic gscout should be 11/10

I think its worth to note that you can win fallen mode with only G Soldier plus all support (Firework tech, Dj and Commander).

The fact that the golden soldier is solid from the start, has no placement limit and has the most detections on its own, makes it a 9/10 in my case
Even more so considering that with supports like Firework tech it can already generate a huge amount of DPS

A very good loadout to use cowboy in is pursuit, Gatling, engineer, and dj then add in cowboy, you have good dps, eco, and it’s able to solo fallen easily due to covering everything in the gamemode

Something to note about G solider is that it has the exact same DPS as pre mini rework minigunner (at max level) making it usable as a EG MG and LG tower

I don't know about yall..I don't use GScout that much anymore due to the recent mode reworks. It already starts to falloff even in Fallen mode. [Unless I just suck at using it properly..]

Alright. I agree with most of your rankings, but it can be improved.


Golden Scout sucks. There is no contest on who is the worst out of the 6. Brawler, Shotgunner, and like almost all of the other Golden towers have just evaporated this guys place in the meta. Early game is just not that important nowadays, so i'd give it a 6/10.

Golden Minigunner is just a tiny bit better than Golden Scout. Right now, to be considered a good dps tower, you need good dps, a great range, and stun immunity. While Gold Minigunner does have great dps, he completely shits the bed on the other 2 categories. "Well, just bring Medic." Why would I waste a slot on Medic when I could bring another dps tower like Pursuit, Ranger, or Engineer? For those reasons, I'm giving him a 6.5/10.

Golden Soldier is practically just a better Militant. He has great stats to be a generalist, and he unlocks his detections fairly early on. However, he runs into the same issue as Militant. He is good, but not the best. This is especially bad when another Golden Tower ahead does the same thing that Golden Soldier does, but better in every way. Golden Soldier gets the rating of 7/10.

Golden Cowboy is very specialized. He is great in SOLOS and DUOS, but he is very bad in TRIOS and QUADS. However, his potential is hard to ignore. In SOLOS and DUOS, you can ditch farm for another tower because Cowboy is usually enough to supply your team, especially with the better eco with fewer players. Overall, I'd give Golden Cowboy and 8/10.

Golden Crook Boss is quite literally Golden Soldier if he had an actual niche in the late game meta. He does early game well, and mid game gets destroyed by the overwhelming amount of goons that he spawns. However, unlike Golden Soldier, this guy goes crazy during the late game. The base dps is already double of 2 Golden Soldiers, and the goons have more dps than 1 maxed Golden Soldier. Not only is this super cost efficient, but it saves a ton of space compared to Golden Soldier, who needs a lot placed down to even do a passable amount of dps. Golden Crook Boss gets a solid 9/10.

Golden Pyro is genuinely piss baby broken. He has by far the best defense melter in the game, which is especially important in the late game, but he also does INSANE amounts of damage. He melts early and mid game relatively well, and he can rack up some insane numbers in the late game. He is very hard to replace. The only competition that he has as a support is like Trapper and Electroshocker, but Golden Pyro can hit way more enemies and is just more reliable in general. 9.2/10.

honestly i agree with crook boss bcuz it is an amazing sub DPS and you dont need to sell it unlike most early game tower when you reach late game

My personal ranking is:
6th place: Golden Scout. Quite literary useless and gets outclassed by towers like brawler and g soldier.
5th place: Golden Soldier. Just a better g scout. That's all.
4th place: Golden Minigunner. Gets outclassed by every dps towers with an exeption being normal minigunner. Only useful for maybe solo Fallen and is required for solo PW2 but its not like anyone is actually doing that.
3rd place: Golden Cowboy. Easily the GOAT of solo Fallen, Intermediate and can do early + mid game pretty well. Not really useful in quads and trios.
2nd place: Golden Pyromancer. Pretty much required for Hardcore or atleast makes your life much easier with it. Good crowd contol and early game is pretty good + defense melting.
1st place: Golden Crook Boss. Decent early game, absolutely shreds mid-game. Late game is good too. Hexscape was destroyed by it. Only other tower I would use in solo Fallen other than G cowboy.

Golden towers from worst to best (my opinion) :
6. G Scout
Severely outclassed by other towers like Golden Soldier, Brawler and maybe even shotgunner. Only good in early game and it's not even the best at it
5. G Pyromancer
Tbh i had a really hard time ranking the 5th-1st, but i decided to rank G Pyro as 5th since it kinda gets outclassed by Electroshocker and DJ. Yes, Pyro have more melt defense than Electro, but Electroshocker can stun enemies which g pyro don't have. Crowd Control? Use Mortar. Also normal pyro have the same defense melting anyways
4. G Minigunner
G Minigunner is a great dps tower. Infact, i think G Mini has the most raw dps potential out of any towers (except normal mini). However, it has a big flaw : stuns. G Mini is vulnerable to stuns. Maybe not the best dps option, but hey atleast it's better than Accel
3. G Cowboy
It's very good in solo. However, it's not very viable in trio and quads since you'll get less money, just use farms in trio and quad
2. G Soldier
This thing can solo fallen with supports. Very versatile, great for hardcore, great for early-mid game. However, this can't be your main dps since it kinda lacks dps in quad. But thid can be a Sub-dps option
1. G Crook Boss
Oh boy, this guy is pretty insane. Works for early game, mid game and late game. Though have an inconsistent dps, it still has a good dps by itself, probably the best sub dps. Arguably more versatile than G Soldier
