Pyromancer definitely deserved a pierce limit, but it's current one is too harsh. A max pierce of 5 at lvs 0-2 makes sense but it should totally be increased each time you upgrade it beyond that point. The fact that electroshocker has a higher pierce at max is insane.

Heres my opinion about golden perks. Let's cover the towers first.

Gold scout: Very good early game potential. I use it a lot for speed running and getting easy quests done fast. Besides that, it's really only good in the early game, as 50 dps max lvl can only take you so far. Also my first Golden Skin (obtained in Solar Eclipse) 50% worth - Not worth.

Gold Soldier: It's quite surprising how this tower was once viewed as a god when it got buffed, but now it's just viewed as a better Militant, which is definitely not worth it. Not worth.

Gold Pyro: Kinda like G soldier. Once viewed as overpowered, now just completely ass. Ever since the Pierce cap and Ace Pilot rework introduction, it's been falling off heavily. I really only use him for his defense melting. Not worth.

Gold Crook Boss: That buffed saved this guy from being irrelevant. Deadass. This guy has remained 5th worst golden perk for the longest time ever, but now he's in the run for 1st place. Amazing sub dps. Worth it.

Gold Cowboy: The solo god. I bring him in almost every solo and duo match. Compared to the normal version, Gold Cowboy is just slightly more expensive but much better money making and damage. However, it struggles heavily in trio and squad. 50% worth it - worth it.

Gold Minigunner: Literally just better Accelerator. It's one of the best dps options. I usually pair this guy with Engineer, Gold Crook Boss, or Ranger. Even if you can't get all of your Gold Minigunners placed down, they can still do amazing damage. Worth it.

Overall, Golden Perks are quite balanced, however the only good ones are Cowboy, Crook, and Minigunner.

They should have made Pyro pierce limit be like 10 or more, considering its a crowld control tower, and lets say that 5 pierce isnt the best thing (hell Archer has more if im not wrong)

as a level 550 player, I would NEVER grinding for golden crate like crazy. just play the game normally, dont spend coins on crates, and when you are close to golden crate (like 40k coins) maybe play more often, that's what I did. because you will definitely hate the game if you spend countless hours of grinding and then getting golden pyro that would be just sad.

I believe gold minigunner is fairly worth it since range won’t always be a problem since one teammate is likely to bring dj, or you yourself could bring it

G scout: extremely good early tower, struggles in some events though

G soldier: extremely versatile, can be used to support dps towers by killing flying/hidden enemies or by clearing weaker enemies (set to weakest, extremely helpful for ranger or accels for example, so they don't waste time shooting at weaker enemies)

G crook: unreliable dps but it is slightly better than G soldier, a bit more expensive though, I'd recommend having merc base with a medic spawn (gives shield that blocks one hit for all units, not towers, units, including goons)

G mini: amazing dps, needs support towers and buffers if you wanna rely only on him for dps though, would recommend bringing a second dps

G pyro: depends, great in normal play, but for some reason, straight up descended from the heavens for most events

G cowboy: unless you have him already, he isn't worth it, since regular cowboy isn't that much worse, they'll pretty much perform the same, if you compare cost/dps, they're very similar, unless you're that desperate for money or lack an early tower, pick something else



Personally, I'd recommend getting them, it gives more flexibility for loadouts

Will also take into account the mid game since rangers can't defend early-mid
And will take into account using supply drops to get the tower earlier
Trapper: will leak heavies enemies and bosses

Gladiator: pls buff

Warden: slightly expensive hd and not spammable (using supply drop is possible)

Jester: won't be able to handle boss without poison, and that's too expensive

Toxic gunner: will not be able to clear hiddens and the squire

Sniper:....really?

Militant: you'll need more and more, making you not be able to farm as efficiently
But honestly a great option

Military base: Heavies:

Archer: too dependent on maps+need several to clear squire

Electroshocker: squire

Executioner: heavies are a problem

Engineer: will get overwhelmed by hiddens

Paintballer: N O

Shotgunner: fallen squire aggro will maybe cause it to leak some enemies, depends on map

Brawler: you need alot to defend until you can get a ranger down, but a good option assuming you can get reposition as soon as possible

Elf camp: will it even handle quicks?

Bee: not enough dps for squire

Now for the goldens

Gscout: can handle most, but will start struggling after breakers, assuming you upgrade them

Gsoldier: a bit too expensive to get his main upgrade, but if you're able to farm extremely efficiently then he can last a while

G pyro: not sure if he has enough dps to beat squire

Gcrook: able to handle alot of things, crooks can take care of leakers

And lastly Gcowboy: too expensive to get enough for several with hidden detection

Final options:(assuming solo)
Militant
Brawler
Ace pilot
G scout
G soldier
G crook boss

The towers can he substituted for others yes, but they give more options

Too much work+ can't handle fallens, but if you can get a ranger down then good option, a bit slow though

Opinion on G-perks:

G-scout: Good but only if you arent playing solo or is playing solo and dont have g-cowboy, Low commitment for early game.

G-Soldier: Better militant, Third best early game out of any g-perks, This is middle of the line as it gets, Jack of all trades.

G-pyro: Only go for this if youre trying to grind/beat hardcore, Its probably the best there due to its cheaper hidden detect and lead coverage, But overall it kinda sucks.

G-Crook: The goat, I dont have it yet, But i am planning for it, One of the best, Trades early game for a MUCH better mid-late game, (the mafia is comin').

G-Mini: A Late game dps, Absolutely gold if you're soloing (No pun intended), the extra placement limit helps alot, I want to get this someday, Mainly because mini has my favorite skin in the entire game (not g-mini, another mini skin, just wanted to use it).

And finally

G-Cowboy: A damage-Eco hybrid, And its a solo player's dream, Expensive if in other modes, but in solo, it feels like it fits like a key, Good dps, Great Eco, With Decently good range, And best of all: You dont have to bring farm! One free slot! Its arguably the best early game option.
Tbh im kinda biased since G-cowboy is the first and ONLY g-perk i have.

As a player that resentful got all of them, I think that they are a very essential part of the game! I would much rather have a golden perk that several skins so if you have all the towers in the game I would consider getting them

theres a glitch thats gonna get patched in the halloween update, get two devices and join one on a game, test which can kick the other out when joining, buy a golden crate on the one that CAN GET kicked out by the other and open it, if you do not get the good gold skin u want, just kick that out by joining on the other device
NOTE (READ): DO NOT under any CIRCUMSTANCES, buy the golden crate on the account that CANNOT BE kicked out,
if you want to use robux, buy the crate and leave

you see i use gold soldier in fallen solos because it has flying detection which means its both op for early game and for those fallen angels and seraphs

tbh i dont specifically grind for g crates, i just play the game and have fun mainly with the higher coin modes till im close to g crate and i play a bit more

G soldier is a good option when you need to fill in your remaining tower slots in a solo match

to be honest I grind for them but also getting level tower it will worth in some cases that I had no good early unit and from golden crate is a good chance of getting a better early unit that I EXTREAMLY NEED
