I love what you add to this planet. Thank you! I'm a Veteran who lost his only child, both of my parents are gone and I've just beaten cancer. So, life has been a tad rough. Thank you for what you offer, big time, I need it for my sanity.

Thank you @Tom Strahle I haven't touched my guitar in 3 years and I was half way through this video and have 3/4 completed a new song in open e tuning!!!

The fact that you got through the entire video without mentioning “She Talks to Angels” by name is quite impressive 😆 Great instruction, thank you.

Thankyou for explaining those complex AMinor --GMinor chord shapes in open E---Quite shocked --thought it was a simple barre one finger chord --now I see its a lot more involved --grateful !

I've played 5 string banjo for years by ear, about 20 or more yrs ago I realized the same shapes work for all open tunings, just got to move your fingers up or down your four middle strings. Getting my slide to stay on my ear though, ain't easy!

I just tuned to this yesterday. So I 've messed with it all night. And I found the power chords work just like standard tuning? I thank you for teaching me the chords👍 I love Open E but I don't kno how to play it yet. I'm always in Drip D or Open G. And this one's bout as fun.
Thanks...

This is great. I was listening to Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan and decided to try out the tuning. Been having a lot of fun with it figuring stuff out, but it's nice to see new things to try...

I believe the stones tune prodigal son is an open a. Recently I was listening to John Lennon song John Sinclair. So I tuned my guitar to open e figuring that was open e. It was nice towards the end of your video you hit on The Black crowes she walks with Angels. Not exactly the same riff but sounded great, thanks again. I really like your style of teaching.

Hi. If you have a slide on your pinky to get the minor fret the G string behind the slide. Nice Video cheers.

Very useful explanation. The melody you made up for demonstration sounds a lot like Norwegian Wood by the Beatles / George Harrison.

I'm not musically trained, hints why I'm on your video, but when I look up open E the result is E-B-E-G#-B-E. I dig the sound I get from the tuning you gave, E-B-E-B-G#-E. I have a couple questions: 1)is this just a typo on your part? 2) Is this a variation on the open E? and if so does it have a name?
